Some Beauty Blunders That Could Cost You A Job

Today on the AM show Chadd & I found out that some things about our appearance can ruin the chances of us women landing a job. So, ladies, if you're looking for a job, have any interviews on the horizon or just want to know what the perception about you is...read on about what things in your beauty regime potential employers say might insinuate about your personality and why they might inadvertantly derail your chance of getting the job.  Before we get started, the Daily Mail says you may not want to go in looking immaculate because that can lead some employers to think you're gunning for their job.

Coming in as the top no-no: Chipped nails--24% of employers say that makes them think prospective employees are either nervous or unprepared. Up next, split ends tell an employer the would-be recruit is lazy, while smudged mascara signifies a party animal and fake tan suggests the applicant will be taking too many vacations. Bright red lipstick rounded out the Top 5 Beauty Blunders for a job interview because it implies the job seeker is power crazy. Here is the rest of the top 10 and what they imply:

6: Heavily penciled brows--Too confident

7: Overpowering perfume--Attention seeker

8: Lipstick on teeth--Careless

9: No mascara--Emotional wreck

10: Line of foundation--Lack of attention to detail
