I posted a quote on my Facebook page the other day that read: When you are down to nothing, God is up to something. Then I received this letter from Angela, and thought how perfectly that statement reflects her situation…
Almost 2 years ago, I found out I had cancer at 25. Being a single mom of a 5 year old, I was scared of what was going to happen. I kept asking God “Why?”
Well, I found out why after much praying. After months of being so sick and days that I just couldn't get out of bed, I met the man that gave me hope. He was serving on his second tour in Iraq at the time. We chatted online when possible. He kept my spirits up and gave me the reason to keep fighting. After waiting 5 months we finally met up. I fell even harder for him, and he did also. Now, we are planning on being married next month.
God put him in my life for a reason. I took things for granted, and now I realize that you can’t. You never know what is in store for you, or if you will get another day. He gave me Kevin in a time when I thought it couldn't get any worse, and used him to give me the hope and strength to keep fighting.
Please play a song for this wonderful man and tell others to never lose hope. God always has a way. Angela
Angela found the love of her life and learned a valuable life lesson but she had to go thru a difficult time in order for that to happen. There was a bigger plan in store for her which included learning to appreciate each day. Do you have a story of triumph after a low point in your life? A story about a lesson learned the hard way?
