Squooshed!

Pink Bra
Pink Bra

Yes, this is the month that I, Ann Kelly need to make that annual appointment to get, as we ladies say, “squooshed.” Another way to tell you it's time for my annual mammogram. This is a cause that Kelly's Kitchen deeply believes in; this is Breast Cancer Awareness month, and just in case you’ve been putting it off, please, remember to schedule your own annual mammogram. As the daughter of a double mastectomy survivor, I know my risks, and I know that being proactive is one more way I can take care of myself and stay ahead of a disease that takes too many lives each year. Do I worry after I have the mammogram every year? Honestly, yes, I do. Until that all clear is given, I think I hold my breath just a little. But I also know that if I need treatment, we are indeed blessed here in the Bay area with world class facilities. The American Cancer Society has always been Ann Kelly’s source of help and hope.  Our health is so important, so in Kelly’s Kitchen we want you to get involved in your own health care decisions, ask those questions that you think someone else might think are silly. There are no stupid questions when it comes to our health.

Please log on to www.putonyourpinkbra.com so you can join me and thousands of women and men across Tampa Bay on Saturday, October 20th for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer/Put On Your Pink Bra walk. I’ll be in Tampa at the Forum that morning, and I encourage you to be with us for an amazing experience. Join us as an individual, or as a team member, and to make a difference. I want to see you ladies, I want those photos! How about sending me a picture of you, or your team? Shoot it to me at ann.kelly@coxtampa.com. Thank you in advance for what you do every year.

WORDS OF WISDOM FROM KELLY'S KITCHEN:
