Thanks! I get the most interesting things here in Kelly’s Kitchen some days, but this week was exceptional. William Dean Brown, the Chief Chocolate Officer at William Dean Chocolates sent over a box of the most beautiful chocolates, almost too beautiful to eat. I did say almost. I shared with the staff first, and enjoyed one myself after lunch.  William Dean Chocolates, on West Bay Drive in Bellair Bluffs, was founded right here in 2007, and was named after William’s father. What sets these delights apart from so many others is the fact that all batches are made by hand, and there are no preservatives included. They really are a work of art as you can see.    Candace Rotola from At The Table PR also dropped by to deliver something I’ve never seen before – a pink pumpkin! It’s a pale pink, and if you stop in at Sweetbay you can have one to display in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. A portion of sale proceeds will be donated to breast cancer research through the non-profit Pink Pumpkin Patch Foundation.  It’s certainly unique, and has a place of honor in Kelly’s Kitchen.

   Speaking of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, this coming Saturday the 20^th, we’ll once again be making Strides Against Breast Cancer with our annual walk in Tampa, St Pete, and in Pasco at the Shoppes of Wiregrass.
