Ever found yourself in an awkward situation? Of course you have! We all have.
For once, this weekend it was one of our neighbors who said something that if I'm sure we confronted them about would feel awkward. (But luckily we don't hold grudges...much.)
Here's what happened...
You see, lately we have been doing some internal rehabbing to our home. We've put down hardwood floors, changed out our bedroom furniture, got rid of some of our big living room furniture and downsized, etc.
So, until we could have The Salvation Army come pick it up it ended up in the garage. Well, we were finally able to donate on Friday so we spent Saturday sweeping and tidying up and now our garage is CLEAN! Well, one our son's friends told him that him mom said "nice to see they cleaned their garage...I give them two weeks and it's a mess again." Nice. Isn't it great to know exactly how your neighbors feel about you?!? And we all know that if you don't want things broadcast, don't tell your kids! They say it like it is.
Not sure if said neighbor will find out (as we don't plan to say anything) but if you've ever been put in an awkward situation like this, or say that a friend found out their child was the only one not invited to a party, etc. Here's a link to what the experts say is the best way to handle specific awkward situations.
