Investigators discovered 24 packages of the drug, weighing nearly 85 pounds, concealed within the tires of a 2016 Ford Focus driven by an unidentified 18-year-old woman from Edinburg, Texas.

“Young people getting involved in illicit activities such as these must realize that there are consequences that could possibly impact the rest of your life. CBP highly encourages everyone not to fall prey to these smuggling organizations who promise quick financial gains on their behalf,” Carlos Rodriguez, director for the ports of Hidalgo, Pharr and Anzalduas, said in a news release.

Both the drugs and vehicle were seized by the CBP, and the woman was taken into custody by Homeland Security Investigations agents, the news release stated.
