LOS ANGELES — The widow of actor Chadwick Boseman delivered an emotional acceptance speech on her husband’s behalf Sunday at the Golden Globe Awards.
According to “Entertainment Tonight” and BuzzFeed, the touching moment came after Boseman, who was just 43 when he died of colon cancer on Aug. 28, was named the winner of best actor in a drama motion picture for his role in “Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom.”
In a tearful speech, Boseman’s wife, Taylor Simone Ledward, accepted the honor for her late husband.

“He would thank God,” Ledward said. “He would thank his parents. He would thank his ancestors for their guidance and their sacrifices. He would thank his incredible team. He would say something beautiful, something inspiring, something that would amplify that little voice inside of all of us that tells you, ‘You can,’ that tells you to keep going, that calls you back to what you are meant to be doing at this moment in history.”
She later added: “And I don’t have his words, but we have to take all the moments to celebrate those we love.”
