“Deadpool & Wolverine” broke records this weekend with $205 million at the domestic box office, making it the eighth biggest opening of all time. It made $438.3 million globally.
It now holds the record for the biggest opening EVER for an R-rated movie. It dethroned the first “Deadpool”, which held the record with around $133 million.
Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds recreated the sad Wolverine meme to celebrate. Hugh says, quote, “‘Wolverine and Deadpool’ is the #1 movie in the world. Thank you ALL!”
