Poison lead singer Bret Michaels was hospitalized on Thursday, causing the band to cancel its scheduled concert appearance in Nashville, Tennessee.

Other members of the metal band went on stage at Nissan Stadium to announce that Michaels, 59, was unable to perform, The Tennessean reported.

No reason for the hospitalization was given, according to the newspaper.

The band was scheduled to perform as part of The Stadium Tour with Def Leppard, Mötley Crüe and Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, People reported.

The band has not made a public statement about Michaels’ condition, and it remains unclear whether Michaels will perform at the band’s next stop Saturday at TIAA Bank Field in Jacksonville, Florida, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

It was also unclear when Michaels got sick and where he was hospitalized. The band played in Charlotte, North Carolina, on Tuesday.

Michaels spoke with People in 2020, 10 years after he suffered a brain hemorrhage. It was the same night he was revealed as a banana on Season 3 of “The Masked Singer,” the magazine reported.

“This is the roses and thorns of my life,” Michaels told People. “I’m so grateful. I celebrate the anniversary as being on the good side of the dirt and surviving. I don’t ever celebrate the brain hemorrhage.”

Michaels helped form the band, which had its roots in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, in the early 1980s. The band took on its current name in 1984 and moved from Pennsylvania to Los Angeles.
