For whatever reason, probably because I have kids, and dishes in the sink at all times, and a million other reasons, I’d fallen off of ‘The Voice’ bandwagon...until this season when John Legend joined the show as a coach.
Hoping to get a Chrissy Teigen cameo (which we did in the first episode!) I was quickly reminded of how much I love this show and why I could totally find an hour to sit on the couch and keep up with this season.
And then, Domenic Haynes happened.
He got me at first with his Ray Lamontagne-esque style...and then, I FOUND OUT HE’S FROM TAMPA!!
The search was on.
We found Domenic and invited him into the studio. Little did I know that we'd actually had a run-in back in my days with our sister station, 97X. Reunited at last!
We talked about how he randomly ended up auditioning for the show and what happened when Adam Levine called him the 'best voice' he's heard on all 16 seasons of the show so far. We're also working on plans for him to call-in every week as our official 'Voice Correspondent'...
We’re basically BFFs at this point.
