PERRY COUNTY, Pa. — A woman who had agreed to feed her neighbor’s dogs was attacked and killed by two Great Danes.
Kristin Potter, 38, had agreed to feed the dogs while her neighbor was out of town. It was an errand she had done before and was so comfortable doing it she took her son with her, Perry County Coroner Robert Ressler said, according to WGAL.
When the dogs attacked, Potter’s son ran home and his brother called 911, Ressler told the news outlet.
First responders were unable to get to Potter because the dogs were aggressive, WGAL reported.
Two dogs were euthanized following the attack, according to the AP. Officials confirmed there was a third dog at the house, but that dog was not involved in the attack.
